What types of agencies and organizations can partner with the Volunteer Center?

All agencies, organizations, collaborations, schools faith-based organizations, health care facilities, governmental bodies, non-profits and service clubs that utilize volunteers to help build the strenght of the community.  In limited cases, such as senior living and hospice facilities, for profit businesses are eligible because they utilize volunteers to provide enrichment and support to residents.  For profit business, however, corporate offices for those agencies do not have a Fond du Lac County address.

Services Provided to agencies:

Website listing both volunteer opportunities and events that allows the agency to recruit volunteers virually.

Mention on radio program and in newspaper column.

E-mailed communications on topics related to volunteer management.

Volunteer Referrals.

Recruitment and placement of volunteers at one time events.

Invitations to Volunteer Fairs and other community wide volunteer recruitment promotions.

Consultation on topics related to volunteer management.

Agency roundtable discussions on volunteer management topics

Opportunity to be guest on radio program to promote volunteer opportunities and agency.

Youth Service Day volunteers

Connection with volunteer groups for special projects

Promotion of National Days of Service

A Fundraising opportunity through the Human Race.

A volunteer promotion and recognition opportunity through Cheers for Volunteers.

Invitations to participate in special volunteer recruitment projects.

Assistance writing press releases and volunteer feature articles 

Workshops/Trainings

Is there a cost for the services?

The Volunteer Center generally charges a fee for trainings.  We also ask for a nominal donation (currently $75) each year from partner agencies.  Agencies that make the donation receive all services for free and typically are included in an additional one time or short term volunteer/agency promotion.  The Volunteer Center also asks partner agencies to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
